Carole’s Cape Life

The goal of carolebswartz.com is to educate you not only about the “ins and outs” of buying and selling a home on Cape Cod, but also about actually living on the Cape. I’m a “Cape Cod Lifer” as they say, and I hope to share many of my professional and personal Cape experiences with you.

If the Cape Cod lifestyle ends up being a good fit for you – I’d love to help you find the perfect home. If, for whatever reason, you find that it’s time to move on, I will work hard to match the perfect buyers with your unique property. It’s what I love to do.

What Consumers Want

Technology, and more specifically, the Internet has changed the way most of us do business. Your computer monitor is now no different than the flat screen television in your den. Consumers now expect to be informed, educated, and engaged with video.

Views, News and Scoops: Hyannis Port

One of the most picturesque villages on Cape Cod is Hyannis Port. With its mid-Cape location near the hub of Hyannis, it has been a summer destination for years, as well as a political center for decades. Surrounded by the waters of the outer Hyannis Harbor and Nantucket Sound, the scenic hamlet enjoys a rich history and proud heritage. Charming weathered “cottages,” narrow sea side lanes, and splendid ocean vistas enhance a summer Cape lifestyle.

In the heart of the village are the picture postcard post office and general store. Minutes away from the center of town is the Hyannisport Club, a private, 18-hole golf club overlooking Nantucket Sound and historic Hyannis Port.

Squaw Island as seen from Hyannisport Golf Club

Beyond the salt marshes that surround much of the front nine is Squaw Island, a secluded, private enclave of homes that frames a solitary, seaside lane.

Squaw Island is surrounded by splendid oceans vistas of Nantucket Sound to the south and west; a picturesque marsh with salt water inlets to the north; and to the east, breath- taking views of the golf course and quaint village of Hyannis Port.

Squaw Island in Hyannis Port is one of the most prestigious summer places on the East Coast. Click here to experience the beauty and comfort of a very distinctive home I am currently offering on Squaw Island. Commanding views, an idyllic pool, and your very own sandy white beach are only some of the luxurious comforts this property affords.

Don’t Miss: Osterville

Looking for a terrific beach? Dowses Beach in Osterville is one of my favorites. Yes, the summer crowds do tend to be robust, but this is an absolutely beautiful spot any time of the year, and the beach is for residents only. Perfect for launching a kayak, casting your line, or just reading a good book.

Dowses Beach in Osterville looks out past Centerville Harbor and Nantucket Sound beyond.

The beach is located at the end of East Bay Road. It’s a short walk from town, and an even shorter walk from charming Wianno Avenue.

Wianno Avenue remains one of the most desirable locations in Osterville. If you’re looking for charm, privacy, and convenience, click here to learn more about a very special property being offered on Wianno Avenue.
